Equality
At St Paul’s CofE Primary School & Nursery, we fully embrace our duties under the Equality Act 2010. Guided by our Christian vision of Learning in God’s Love, we are committed to:
-
Eliminating discrimination
-
Advancing equality of opportunity
-
Fostering good relations across all members of our community
The Act protects people from unfair treatment based on nine protected characteristics:
age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
We will not discriminate against, harass or victimise any pupil, prospective pupil, or member of staff or the wider school community because of these characteristics.
Rooted in Christian values, we believe every child and adult is uniquely made in the image of God. We aim to provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where all can flourish. Through our curriculum and wider school life, we promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, celebrate diversity, and challenge prejudice, so that everyone in our community can truly thrive.
